Book a member speaker slot at a future meeting.
I now have the necessary tools to structure my elevator pitch for future networking meetings. Really helpful. Thank you!
Just wanted to say how great I think this is, particularly the support members provide round the table. At one of the recent “hot seat” sessions where I put out an issue I was facing, I was overwhelmed by the good quality ideas given to me by members and even the referrals I was given both at the meeting and subsequently via email, almost straight after the meeting. It was splendid and I was deeply touched by it. Since then, I have applied some of the ideas and something positive has resulted from that one occasion. I will continue to explore those ideas and pursue the contacts provided. I personally think that NN coNNect™ provides a great “relationship-building/networking” forum and good dose of laughter, a great combination in these tough times, so many thanks!
Good and interesting to focus on networking groups
As a coach I am obviously a firm believer in being coached and would recommend any small business owner investing in business coaching. This is the first time that I have participated in group coaching and. for me, the added benefit is listening to (and learning from) the coaching of others in the group. For me it’s a good way of learning about the things that "I don’t know that I don’t know".
Great asset for Corby. Very friendly and professional group. Great for building up your connections. With top tips, advice and a guest speaker at every session.
What a lively and stimulating start to the day! I really enjoyed your session this morning and drove back feeling inspired and activated despite the gloom of the motorway. Thank you so much for asking me. I would love to come again if you’ll have me – you folks are so friendly and welcoming.
After attending the event I feel much more confident about networking events and in addition have composed a more effective introduction for myself. Thank you.
Great session/workshop, pitched well and at the right level and timings are spot on. Great introductory workshop to referrals.
Thank you to both Jacky & Paul for today. I've taken away lots of information to implement into future networking groups.
I joined the Stanwick group in 2011. Already networking elsewhere, I was attracted to the format of the meetings, which offers opportunities to learn about members businesses from different perspectives. Networking, business education, problem solving and discussion - that's what we get every fortnight, with the option to attend meetings held in other locations too. Sharing ideas in a relaxed environment with a great bunch of people offering support and their expertise - brilliant!
An event I wish I had done sooner!
It was a brilliant learning experience. Julie was excellent and very insightful.
I have had good sales training from IBM and MRI, but I still learned a lot of new things. I believe this will have a direct effect on my success.
It was like a good meal in the company of good friends. Formal surroundings, good food and service, but the most relaxing and chatty experience. I usually run a mile from works meals and that sort of stuff because you end up struggling to make small talk- but although the conversation naturally turned to business, there were also wide ranging topics and the chance to engage at a deeper level than ‘what does your business do?
NN CoNNect has been extremely helpful to my business. The meetings are well run by Paul – they have a well-defined structure, but have a good mix of formality and informality. I enjoy meeting other NN CoNNect members, have made some good connections, got great business advice from Paul and the wider group and, last but not least, gained work whose value is several times the cost of membership.
NN coNNect™ is a vibrant networking group that successfully combines professional relationship building with business education. Paul’s engaging facilitation style enables people to bond quickly and learn from each other. The inputs provide up to date thinking to challenge the members of NN coNNect™ to think and act differently so to improve business results.
A thoroughly enjoyable and informative course on networking. The secret to writing a good elevator pitch will stay with me.
I have run my own business for many years and attended this workshop because I was starting to feel that I was stuck in a sales rut.
I found this to be a very worthwhile workshop. It has helped me to understand the value of me, and made me realise that by making assumptions I was putting myself at a disadvantage. It also taught me not to be afraid of asking why, when following up with a prospect.
I found that the interaction between the rest of the people on the course was very valuable, as it meant that we were all able to share our experiences and fears of sales.
This event was both relaxed and helpful. Everyone currently networking of thinking of networking will take away something useful.
This workshop helped me to present myself to others and to be more confident in doing that. The feedback was very useful.
Paul's NN Connect breakfast networking offers a number of benefits to members. Personally, I like the county-wide approach that brings Northamptonshire businesses together. With attendance flexibility, education and support, I would recommend this as the best breakfast grouping in the county- and fantastic value for money!
I have found NNcoNNect to be a highly effective networking group. Paul is exceptionally dedicated in keeping things moving and the format of the meetings is the best I have encountered. Strongly recommended if you are willing to put in the effort.
I really enjoyed my first NN CoNNect networking meeting last week, it was professional and well timed with a social element - just the right balance. Paul is a friendly and welcoming host and encourages positivity, motivation and shared knowledge and skills amongst visitors and members alike.
I went to my first meeting this morning and was pleasantly surprised. A great meeting and mix of businesses. The venue was excellent too. I joined and looking forward to many more meetings.
Been attending since it started last year. Paul has his way of leading the sessions in a relaxed yet business focussed way. Great bunch with good diversity within it. I'd recommend a visit, it probably wouldn't be your only one!
Excellent to gain an insight into networking effectively with practical application. It does exactly what it says!
I attended my first NN Connect meeting in Daventry this month and was hugely impressed by the group, very welcoming and a great format.
It is very easy to make some big mistakes in your 45 second introductions. This course helps you to have your presentation be more concise and with a clearer message.
This workshop should be compulsory for all networkers. It is so insightful in how to do networking correctly to get the most out of it. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to gain from networking and generate more business to attend this event.
I attended my first NN Connect meeting having been self employed for a just couple of weeks, so I had no real experience of networking. I remember that someone said to me that they felt Paul Green was trying to create a genuinely supportive community and having been a member for a few months now, I would completely endorse that point of view. As well as a means of generating business, I have found NN Connect invaluable as a source of support, information and encouragement; vital for someone new to the world of self-employment. It has the right balance of structure to make it useful, while being relaxed enough to make someone who may be a little nervous about networking feel comfortable. I would highly recommend it.
Excellent for all to attend
Julie's training style is terrific - relaxed, informative, humorous, inclusive, collaborative. She also made repeated complimentary references to the expertise of the individual participants, making each of us feel special.
Even if you think you know about networking, you can learn a lot. Very good.
As owner of the Referral Institute Northants I train people in best practice in referral marketing skills and technqiues. Then people have to go out and put them into practice. So I give them the game plan and NNCoNNect is a great group to enable people putting these skills into practice. The format has the right amount of structure and informality to make both the seasoned networker and newcomer feel at ease.
A great refresher on networking tools and techniques
Very useful introductory session and refresher on how to maximise the effectiveness of my networking efforts.
I learnt from the very clear, broken down structure on how to act and prepare for a networking event. I am leaving with the knowledge of how to plan my networking skills.
I attended NN Connect Dine at Cheyne Members Club for the first time and what a great evening. A relaxed atmosphere with great company and the food was wonderful and all for an extremely reasonable price. I will definitely be making this a regular event.
Fantastic workshop, As someone new to sales I really got an insight into how to sell in the 21st century. Julie was absolutely brilliant, certainly knows her stuff.
This workshop is an easy 10 out of 10, if you want to know about selling she has got to be the go to, cannot praise her enough.
Thanks also to Paul and NNcoNNect for offering this free to member offering, well worth the time and effort.
Although I've been networking for 10 years, this seminar has given me strategies to use on a couple of areas I struggle with. Thoroughly recommended!
I have got to know Paul since joining his NN-Connect network at the end of 2013. Paul leads a group of very proactive business network meetings and leads with enthusiasm. His personality and natural energy flows through the network and you cannot help but enjoy his style of leadership.
This was a fantastic workshop, really informative, delivered in a fun and friendly way. I feel so much better about sales now
I found the event really useful; particularly in developing my 6o seconds elevator pitch. Paul & Jacky worked well together as co-presenters.
Paul’s Coaching Circle sessions are very helpful as you get the benefits of having a peer group discussion, but with the leadership and direction of an experienced business adviser. Pixooma is relatively new and I can’t be an expert in everything, so having a sounding board and adviser who is as invested in Pixooma as I am is very important. On top of all that he performs the vital role of keeping me accountable to the tasks I set myself.
Julie cut to the chase. I came out from the session with positives to do. It wasn't just theory, it was practical ways to move forward with sales and how to achieve what you wanted from potential business. Great session thank you Julie.
It was an informal but focused event giving tips on how to begin referral relationships. Very worthwhile session which can be built upon to increase your skills and grow your business.
Changing the word 'Sales' to 'Problem solving' changed how I felt about obtaining new business. It's much easier now! Thanks.
Very simple, common sense approach to networking. Ideal for beginners to give you confidence to make your first steps into networking.
This is the second time that I have attended this course, the first time I had not been networking long and some of it certainly didn't sink in. This time I appreciate a lot more and now understand more the dynamics of a network group.
Just go once and you will definitely go again. Maybe it is the relaxed format of the meetings in which everyone can easily communicate and make connections or maybe it is the exquisite food prepared by the Cheyne Walk Club in Northampton. There is something that makes this Business Networking Group so special, and Paul is doing a great job in managing it.
I am extremely grateful to Paul for his friendly support of both me personally and my business. I joined NN coNNect a year ago and feel that my business has transformed as a result.
As someone who has networked for 7+ years I gained some important information from this workshop; for example guidelines for an effective 45 seconds and setting a goal for each meeting.
Over the last year or so NN coNNect has become part of my working life. It is a friendly and supportive environment where there is a strong feeling of community that is also really welcoming to newcomers. Paul runs the session with humour and genuine enthusiasm. Great people and I learn something useful every visit.
Highly recommended network group.
After networking with other groups and finding them a bit regimented and similar I was told of NN coNNect and went along to see what made this one so different. I was pleasantly surprised! This is a really good group, friendly, laid back and very informative, so not only do you get to Network you can learn and also ask for help if you need it. I would definitely recommend this group to others without hesitation.
Jacky really knows how to focus the group on exactly the right things.
I came away much clearer on what I needed to do and would recommend her workshops to all who are serious about Networking.
Friendly, informative - highly useful. Even an experienced networker will pick up some really useful guidelines and action points.
A very worthwhile course. I came away with lots of ideas that I'm going to run with.
NN coNNect is a very friendly but professional networking group with added bonus of business advice/discussions.
Well run, good value for money, great members, excellent venue all adds up to the best Corby meeting for entrepreneurs and anyone who wants to build their business while still having fun!
I have attended three of Paul’s mornings and apart from his modest and
not “in your face” style of delivery, itself a refreshing change, his common sense suggestions to solving day to day problems that beset small businesses are very very welcome.
Being part of Paul's Network group has been a powerful boost to my business, I have met so many inspiring people at the regular meetings at both Kettering and Daventry. I get a real buzz from every meeting that I attend, there is always something new to learn. I have found things that useful I have introduced a few of my clients who have now become regulars.
I would recommend any person wishing to get involved in getting to know other business minded people to get in touch with the NN coNNect™ Network Group. Paul can provide good advice and put you in touch with others and by attending the meetings, you will find a relaxed and jovial group, where business relationships grow without the pushing and pressure.
Each persons questions were brought into the workshop as examples to work through. Very well done. Great training!
Paul is clearly a highly knowledgeable and engaging individual. His new creation, NN coNNect™, is an invigorating new take on the networking theme.
I have attended many different types of networking groups over the years and particularly enjoy the NN coNNect meetings. Early mornings are a challenge for me but as there is no obligation to go every week and it's not quite as early as some others I've attended, it works well! The meetings are well run, have a good structure without being too rigid and are a good environment for getting to know the other members and understanding their capabilities. I would thoroughly recommend NN coNNect for business owners looking to make good connections in a friendly and encouraging environment. If you want to widen your network in an un-pressured yet focussed environment and without breaking the bank, NN coNNect is the place for you.
This was a highly useful workshop. I am so glad I attended today and Paul's and Jacky's insight has been invaluable.
A great fortnightly networking breakfast. Well structured including 1 to 1 slots with other members. I've got some good contacts and leads from NN coNNect so I can recommend the group.
Best meeting I have been to in 18 months since setting up my business. Thank you.
I like the format of the group. It feels intimate and supportive. Paul has made lots of suggestions for ways to take my business forward and this has all been in easy achievable steps. Nothing too overwhelming. I feel proud of what I’ve achieved since joining the group and would recommend it to anyone who thinks their business is ‘too small’ to benefit from coaching.
I feel that the Basics of Sales course has provided me with the necessary tools to follow up on leads with more confidence. Julie is a great trainer and clearly passionate about her subject and helping others.
I joined MK coNNect a few months ago after 'trying out' a few local network events. What I like, and find beneficial with MK coNNect is that it has a good structure to the meeting without being stuffy and formal, it's informative, has a variety of business tips and creates a very good atmosphere of partnership working rather than just 'swapping' business cards. I have created significant business relationships from MK coNNect meetings.
I’m very happy to both endorse you and the Group – It’s well run, with humour which I think is very important and attracts an interesting and wide selection of members who really seem to enjoy each other’s company and care about the group and its’ members.
I have attended several meetings of the NN Connect Daventry and have become a member. Fantastic group, one to one meetings really good. I have one lead, that what i been waiting for. I definitely recommend this networking group.
An informal group with enough structure to ensure enjoyable and informative meetings. It is good value for money and the members represent a good mix of local businesses.
Nothing rocket science here but sensibly balanced and focused to give valuable insight in ensuring that you maintain control of your referrals and make them successful.
NN coNNect is a great group; its not just networking but the learnings, both from Paul Green and the other members that make it a great place to be. I have been twice so far and have committed to joining in the New Year.
I have been a member of NN connect™ for 1 year and I have found it a very friendly, lively and stimulating group of like minded business people. I have significantly increased my business contacts through this group and written new business as a direct result of the new contacts I have met. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who is looking to develop their business and wants some friendly support to do this.
Julie delivers this course in a personable and informative manner. Having not had a sales background, I now feel positive about selling my business, and the services I can offer, in a much more confident way.
NN CoNNect ticks all the boxes. Regular networking with a friendly group of people who support you and your business on both a practical and personal level. Direct work, referrals, other business opportunities, an unusual combination of education and laughter, and social connections too. Fortnightly meetings at different venues (you can mix and match as you choose), reasonable fees and a great breakfast. All wrapped up in Paul Green’s enthusiastic if irreverent approach. What more could you ask?
Just wanted to say that it was a great network meeting yesterday. I've just started out on the network circuit, I have tried a few over the last two weeks, and I have to say yours has been the best so far. I like the set up and agenda, it works very well, its non threatening and respectful (they are not all like that!). An attendee has already put me in touch with someone who maybe able to help me and I too have passed on referral to someone I know. I will be returning and joining
Succinct - relevant and well presented
A lively fortnightly networking group. Have met some great contacts and been fortunate to get some good referrals. I really enjoy and appreciate the format and the support and friendliness of everyone who attends. Happy to recommend the group to anyone interested in structured and results-driven networking.
I’ve attended many business club type meetings; these meetings are some of the best with practical advice based on genuine experience and knowledge. Anyone running a business and wanting to develop/address issues should engage with NN coNNect™
As a "seasoned" networking it can be easy to fall into bad habits and forget the real reason for attending networking. This well thought out workshop reminded me of the essential elements to use for successful networking.
I've been an NN Connect member for 6 months and I find it hugely beneficial. There are plenty of meetings to attend, where you not only get to network, but you are also surrounded by a supportive community of like minded people who want to help each other succeed. You also get free training workshops thrown in! The meetings are informative and I always come away having learnt something new. And the best part is, you have a lot of laughs along the way! A big thank you to Paul Green and the rest of the NN Connect Community.
Thanks to Paul Green, who is very generous in enabling me to steal some good ideas for the Trainers Network Northamptonshire group - www.trainer-net.com - from NN coNNect. Paul is an all round good egg.
Paul is a the perfect network group leader, always thinking for his members and helping support the businesses for all 83 members! I don't know where he finds the time or manages all those cooked breakfasts! I hope to continue a long business partnership working together to support NN Connect.
Even though I've been on the circuit for over 4 years, I've learned fresh information & also was reminded of things I'd conveniently forgotten. This course should be a must for those embarking on business networking as part of their marketing strategy.
I found this event very helpful as I have never been to a networking event as I have been working with Unumbox for 2 weeks. This event gives me the confidence to be able to speak up in public in front of a group of strangers.
Excellent networking, particularly the one to ones. Nice to see new faces every now and then to keep it fresh. Food and venue excellent as well.
NN coNNect achieves the perfect balance: professional but friendly networking in a non-pressurised environment. There’s also an advice slot which is always helpful and informative. Paul Green, who runs it, is a great guy. I would recommend NN coNNect without hesitation.
I've been attending the Soiree (evening meeting) in Northampton since it started and I love the meetings. There is a structure to the meetings which moves everything along nicely but the meetings are not formal or stuffy. The mix of attendees is good and as it isn't a lockout it's great to be able to meet with other accountants. It's also a learning experience as well as networking which enhances the meetings and the extras offered with the membership have been invaluable.
Relaxed and enjoyable. Full of good information and pitched at the right level.
After a couple of false starts, I managed to make the NN CoNNect Dine experience at the Cheyne Walk Club, a most enjoyable evening. The Club is a great place to meet, a relaxed atmosphere, the company was brilliant, some new acquaintances, some I’ve known for a while but plenty of time to appreciate their company. The food there is excellent and the price, very reasonable. Book me in for the next one, I will definitely be there.
I would recommend any small business owner to come along to NN coNNect™. Paul chairs the fortnightly meetings in a formal structured way but with a lot of fun. Because he has so much business experience, he brings this expertise to the group in an interactive way. You really get something out of going.
Getting back to basics was great to ensure we get the most from networking.
I attended the very first NN Connect at Daventry, it was an excellent meeting with a great mix of people around the table. If you are looking for something new and different then this would be the group to join.
A very useful introduction to networking and all the do's and don'ts. I learnt a lot today and feel more confident going on the networking rounds.
I found the session really useful, and came away with some great ideas that I’ll certainly run with at work. It was nice that the session was fairly small, as it allowed the participants to discuss their challenges and brainstorm ideas as a group.
An extremely helpful training session that helps you reflect on the role and purpose of networking and how to best make effective use of your 45 second elevator pitch. Excellent advice offered along with the opportunity to develop your self-confidence, skills and techniques.
The event gives clear guidance on how to network without making fundamental mistakes.
For people who want networking with a purpose, who want to generate good connections and business opportunities, NN CoNNect is a perfect blend of networking, information exchange, 1-2-1's and open forum discussions without the rigid format and attendance requirements of other groups. It sits perfectly in between strict and sometimes forced referrals and the overly social meetings where business seems to be the last resort not the focus. The ability to attend where you want and when you can fits much easier into a busy work diary than enforced weekly commitments and the fortnightly format makes it easier to work with. It is a valuable addition to my weekly networking and equally as productive despite fewer meetings. Relaxed and positive, just as it should be.
…it’s the most useful 2 hours I’ve spent since starting my business.
Very informative - felt like a comfortable learning experience. Understanding and compassionate to new networkers
Great event, got loads more from it that I was expecting. Good work!!
I'm fairly new to networking world and found NN coNNect a nice place to start my networking journey. Members are friendly, easy to communicate with and looking to support one another all the time. Thanks to Paul Green who is doing a great job managing the group so well. I very much like the NN coNNect breakfast meetings along with the Dine experience at the Cheyne Walk Club, a most enjoyable evenings one can have in relaxed atmosphere and great food. Through this group I'm making great new acquaintances with other business professionals which is always good.
Thanks again and I've no hesitation recommending this group to others!!
Take a look at some photos from a previous meeting (when at Stanwick)
